The Epitome “Carbon Air” is built using the C₆O₂ material which combines a pure carbon mesh with a unique fiber technology. This material is so light that is has been described as a feeling like “holding air,” but don’t be fooled — these blanks are extremely strong and deliver exceptional sensitivity, unmatched accuracy, and are a pure pleasure to cast!

The Linen Series brings exciting innovation to the world of fly fishing. The Linen is a unique fly rod blank made from flax linen, a natural hollow fiber. This material offers a blend of characteristics that make it stand out in the fishing rod market.

Flax linen is known for its lightweight properties and durability. This material can best be described in fishing terms as a hybrid between fiberglass and carbon fiber, providing a unique action and feel. The slower action is similar to fiberglass, but it features quick dampening and recovery akin to carbon fiber. This allows for a responsive casting experience, making it suitable for various fishing conditions.

The rod has a beautiful woody look and texture, enhancing its visual appeal while maintaining functionality. But beauty and action are not enough. Flax is incredibly durable and can withstand high-stress situations, making it ideal for various fishing techniques, including high sticking.

One notable characteristic of flax fiber is that it has some memory. Similar to bamboo, if overstressed, the sections may retain a slight bend that you will not notice while in use and causes no long-term issue. The bend is easily straightened by letting the rod sit flat or gently by hand.

The Gamma Series blanks are made from naked graphite, which is hand sanded to avoid damaging the fibers. This results in a smooth, light weight blank that is 20% lighter than traditional coated blanks. The unsanded finish also enhances sensitivity and responsiveness, and provides a unique look blank to blank.

The Gamma Alpha blanks feature a moderate action, which provides a balance between casting distance and accuracy. This action is particularly beneficial for delicate presentations and shock absorption, making it ideal for chasing big fish with small tippet and tiny flies.
